Annihilator summer festival shows announced and new album news

Canadian melodic thrash metal pioneers Annihilator have been confirmed to play at various festivals this northern summer to coincide with their self titled album due out in May.

Annihilator has been confirmed as co-headliner for Kaliakra Rock Fest 2010, set to take place on July 25th in Kavarna, Bulgaria.  The band has also been confirmed for the following northern summer festivals:

19.06.2010 - Hellfest (France)
17.07.2010 - Rockweekend (Sweden, co-headliner)
17.07.2010 - Masters of Rock (Czech Republic, co-headliner)

Annihilator guitarist and mainman Jeff Waters comments:

"Looking forward to playing for my good metal friends in Europe this Summer at these awesome festivals. I'm also looking forward to meeting some of you at the signing session in Paris this Thursday, 1st April and in Athens on 21st April in Greece." Jeff Waters is currently in Europe doing a press and promotion tour in advance of the release of the band's new self-titled album in May.

Annihilator are due to release their new, self-titled album in Europe on 17th May through Earache/Riot. Annihilator is the band's thirteenth studio album and features ten tracks of heads-down, no-frills metal, including a cover of Van Halen's Romeo Delight.
