Five Star Prison Cell are ready to blow your mind with Matriarch

Melbourne’s Five Star Prison Cell are back to instill new life into the world of heavy music with their highly anticipated third album, Matriarch.

Produced by Forrester Savell (Karnivool, Helmet) one of Australia's finest, Matriarch is 12 tracks of mind-bending time signatures, eclectic vocal gymnastics, unique brutality with an amazing new sense of catchiness that will melt away your pre-conceptions of what music should sound like. While world renowned artist Seldon Hunt (Neurosis, Isis, Candiria) has taken care of the album artwork ensuring the album looks as extraordinary as it sounds.

To coincide with the new album release and to celebrate their new relationship with Australia's premier label, RIOT!, the band will re-release their first two albums The Complete First Season and Slaves of Virgo at the same time in May to ensure availability of their entire catalog. 

The band will celebrate the release of Matriarch throughout April, May & June by embarking on their most ambitious tour to date and with the support of a Contemporary Music Touring Grant they will cover every state and territory in the country.
