Wretch Debut Video for Sophomore Release 'Tirades'

Available November 2015

Canberran grindcore outfit Wretch have released the first video from their upcoming sophomore album Tirades.

The confronting video, aptly titled A Fucktonne of Hate, is a two minute whirlwind of rage that aims to leave the viewer with a disturbing reminder of some of the less admirable qualities of the human race. Wretch play grindcore, with unabashed nods to influences from death metal, thrash, punk, and hardcore, all ham-fistedly smashed together with a rough-and-ready D.I.Y sound, and lyrical content which is as tongue-in-cheek as it is outright belligerent.

Wretch was formed in 2011 in Canberra, Australia, by a bunch of local idiots with a common passion for grindcore, particularly bands such as Pig Destroyer, Napalm Death, Brutal Truth, Nasum, and Lock Up. The band self-released The Senseless Violence EP (2012) and full-length Because You’re Worthless (2013). Both albums were largely recorded, mixed and mastered by the band.

Since forming, Wretch have played so many shows that they all seem to blur together, some notable highlights include sharing the stage with Cattle Decapitation, Shady Glimpse, Thy Art is Murder, King Parrot, Dawn of Azazel, and Sinister. The upcoming album, Tirades, comprises of 15 tracks of unrelenting hatred and sonic stupidity. Recorded by Adam Merker at Studio Anders Debeerz (Disentomb, Aversions Crown), and mastered by Roby Blastasfuk (The Kill, Captain Cleanoff).

Tirades is released independently, November 13....
