Surgical Meth Machine Release Lyric Video for Devo Classic 'Gates of Steel'

"We also got our Medical Marijuana cards here in LA, so....."

Ministry main man Al Jourgensen's new project, Surgical Meth Machine, recently released their debut album via Nuclear Blast Records. The band has released a lyric video for their rendition of the Devo classic "Gates Of Steel" featured below:

Surgical Meth Machine was recorded primarily at Jourgensen's home studio in Burbank, California with his longtime engineer Sam D'Ambruoso.

In a May 2016 interview with Metal As Fuck, Jourgensen took us down the rabbit hole regarding Surgical Meth Machine's creation “It’s funny how their describing it because the one time in my 57 years I actually tried meth I thought I was having a heart attack and it was the most unenjoyable drug I’ve ever done in my life so I find it only fitting that I would name a project after the most unenjoyable thing I’ve ever experienced”. [Laughs]

He continues....

"We also got our Medical Marijuana cards here in LA, so the last half of the record was just like us doing these sessions naked outside staring at the clouds which turned into unicorns and getting all groovy and the record just deteriorated from this original obsession of going as fast as we could to getting totally groovy... Man, were we totally groovy! Everything was so organic and peaceful. By the end of it we listened back to it and didn’t know what the fuck to do with it” Nuclear Blast did; having scooped up this florescent Quaalude ricochet of madness almost as soon as it was recorded, to a haze of praise by Ministry and RevCo [Revolting Cock] fans.... It sure is something else....

The band has also released a lyric video for the song 'Rich People Problems' also featured on the self-titled album, below:
