Dragonforce have announced an Australian tour recently and fans can expect nothing less when their brand-new album ‘Reaching Into Infinity’ drops on May 19 and Australian crowds will be amongst the first in the world to hear it. With their lightning fast riffing, Dragonforce are one of the most furiously exciting and animated live acts in the world today. Tickets are on sale now through Destroy All Lines.

One of the most influential rock bands of all time, Deep Purple, will release their brand new studio album inFinite on April 7 via earMUSIC/Sony Music Australia. InFinite is the highly anticipated follow up to their most recent worldwide chart topping album 2013’s NOW What?!, The tour that followed sold over a million tickets worldwide.... InFinite is classic Purple, 70’s swagger, roaring guitar riffs, that big fat Hammond organ and Ian Gillan’s instantly recognisable voice.
The bonus DVD of the album will include the 90+ minute documentary movie From Here To Infinite. Witnessing the songwriting process and the recording of the album with producer Bob Ezrin. Allowing for the first time for the fans to be part of the private band member interactions in the studio. First single, Time For Bedlam, an up-tempo classic Deep Purple song, has been released as a lyric video:

The monster lineup for Blacken Open Air has been announced, boasting 30 bands from every corner of the country. Now in it’s fifth incarnation, the event inspires an annual pilgrimage into the heart of Australia. International touring acts including Desecrator, Whoretopsy and Truth Corroded join the NT’s biggest bands such as The Horror, Miazma and Southeast Desert Metal.
The two day and night heavy metal camping event takes place over the Easter long weekend. The venue features two stages, two bars and two swimming pools. A fully-equipped campground, a skate ramp, street-art demos and food trucks are also on-site.

Metal Blade Records have launched a new edition of the "6 Bands in 60 Seconds" campaign, where CEO Brian Slagel spotlights six artists from the label's roster every three months. The goal of the promotion is to help fans discover new music from some of the most promising acts in the scene. The latest installment of the series features Anaal Nathrakh, Ravencult, Wovenwar, Oni, Evocation and Nova Collective.

Australian metal extremists Aversions Crown and Boris The Blade have announced a co-headline run around the country in support of their respective latest studio efforts. Dubbed the Xenocidal Warpath tour, this June both artists will being their devastating act to the stage supported by Melbourne young guns Alpha Wolf.
