The Weekly Ticket Stub...

Deep Purple to Plague Throat; British Rock Gods to the devilish dusts of India... Heavy Metal covers the globe!

The Swedish juggernaut that is Entombed A.D. are heading our way in May – courtesy of Hardline Media - and we are delighted to inform you that tickets are on-sale now:

Explaining the relevance and influence of Entombed is probably as superfluous as pointing out why Slayer rule, Lemmy is bigger than God and the passing of Dio was the greatest loss in metal history. A legend is a legend. Fullstop. F**k off! Explaining the reason for the name change might require more effort but why waste precious space? Let the music speak for itself because at the end of the day, that’s what the underground is all about, right? Heavy music for heavy music fans.

To save you some precious time for listening to this record rather than wasting it for googling, here’s a quick historical breakdown nonetheless: Entombed A.D.’s legacy goes way back into the year 1987 when the band originally formed under the name Nihilist. In 1989, the group changed its name to Entombed, they established themselves as masters of Swedish death metal before flavouring the trademark “Stockholm sound” with a more punkish, rocking edge that culminated in the ultimate death ‘n’ roll classic “Wolverine Blues” in 1993, an album still very much present in the band’s current sound. It seems that after returning to the front in 2014, Entombed A.D. are now way more comfortable with the arsenal at hand and the quartet is more eager than ever to live up to the finest line from the track “Total Death” - “It’s only rock ‘n’ roll – DESTRUCTION!”

An Entombed A.D. show is a domination of the senses, and it’s not only the music, it’s the people they are. If you happen to see that Entombed A.D. will be playing anywhere near you, I highly suggest attending. They have never, and will never, disappoint their fans.

For 27 years, My Dying Bride from West Yorkshire have been the voice of the hopeless and broken, combining haunting sounds with crushing misery and melancholy. With their signature sound they've shaped the doom metal scene like barely any other act and integrated both soft violin melodies and violent death metal growls into their music, whilst always staying strictly loyal to themselves. And since the early Nineties, the band's masterminds and founding members Andrew Craighan and Aaron Stainthorpe forged beautiful grief into twelve studio albums with songs of epic length.

However for their 13th release, the band is now bound for new horizons and proudly announces their signing to Nuclear Blast Records! Singer and lyricist Aaron Stainthorpe comments: "It is with great pleasure that My Dying Bride can announce they will be joining forces with the formidable Nuclear Blast Records in early 2017 and have already begun working on material for the next LP and singles.

It is no secret that Nuclear Blast have continued to expand greatly over the years, signing epic bands from all corners of the world and giving them the chance they deserve to make something of themselves in the ever expanding metal scene. And it’s time that My Dying Bride came along for the ride. We are hoping that this wedding between a very solid label and a well established act will bear fruit of mighty proportions in the exciting years to come. Cheers!"

Since My Dying Bride rarely leave their damp catacombs to perform live rituals, each show is a highlight in itself and on April 22nd, the Brits will expose their legendary album Turn Loose The Swans in its entire length at Roadburn Festival. Together with Shaun 'Winter' Taylor-Steels on drums and a special backdrop lighting, the band will haunt the Dutch stage and deliver a truly unique experience.

Australian pop sensibilities combined with modern progressive heaviness – the cult force that is Voyager are back with their 6th album, entitled ‘Ghost Mile’. They are kicking off the new album cycle with amazing new single 'Ascension' and a filmclip directed by Adrian Goleby.  Add to that, they are today announcing their 'Ghost Mile' album Australian headline tour in May 2017, with French Djent/Prog/Dubstep maestros The Algorithm in support! Taking in Perth, Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne and Adelaide, the sweet pairing will be crushing riffs and blowing minds all over the country throughout May.

Voyager sensationally anthemic 6th opus has an amalgamation of everything the band does best - huge soundscapes, pop and prog sensibilities with catchy and thought-inducing instrumentals. The album was mixed by Matthew Templeman (Saviour, Life Pilot) and mastered by Simon Struthers and maintains the production that was such a successful selling point for their album ‘V’.

Legendary Misfits Guitarist Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein is set to star in Death Ward 13, a remake of the cult-classic film Don't Look In The Basement. With his iconic Devilock hair and impressive physical build, “Doyle” is best known as the guitar player for the American horror punk band the Misfits and will play the most terrifying character in the film. Now in pre-production, Death Ward 13 is directed by award-winning horror filmmaker Todd Nunes and produced by The Readmond Company.

"I’m looking forward to starting my movie career with a starring role in “Death Ward 13”says Doyle. “It’s time to release the beast on the big screen. Let the killing begin!” “With Doyle’s horror punk background, we’ve always been looking for opportunities to have him cross over into film, but nothing has sparked his interest until now”, says Bruce Miyaki (Insane Management.) “Death Ward 13 is a great breakout film for Doyle – his fans are going to love it.”

Indian death metal greats Plague Throat release their highly awaited full length debut after putting out a stunner in 'An Exordium to Contagion' EP. And if their single was anything go by, the band's sound is only getting more powerful and relevant by imbibing influences of both brutal and technical death metal while remaining rooted in the classic death metal style.

These are ten unrelenting and supremely passionate songs that will have any metalhead banging his head in ridiculous fashion. Catchiness has always been a trait for this band but it's never at the expense of the heaviness. With a faultless production to boot, 'The Human Paradox' will become a death metal staple for old and new fans alike all around the world.

On April 28th, Between The Burried And Me will release their new DVD/Blu-ray, 'Coma Ecliptic: Live', via Metal Blade Records, in association with Good Fight Entertainment. The concert, which features the band performing their latest album, 'Coma Ecliptic', in its entirety, was filmed live on location October 4th, 2016 at The Observatory North Park in San Diego, CA.

Bassist Dan Briggs comments: "The genesis of the 'Coma Ecliptic' filming was based around capturing the look and feel of the show our lighting director Chris Hill produced for the full album set. It's such an important record for us and our progression as a band and the visual representation captures the moods of our tragic tale so well. It's the perfect way to wrap up the last two years we've been living with this album day in and day out!" To pre-order 'Coma Ecliptic: Live', please visit:
