Goatwhore will release their anticipated 'Vengeful Ascension' full-length worldwide on June 23rd via Metal Blade Records. The band's seventh full-length and second recorded reel-to-reel, 'Vengeful Ascension' was captured at Earth Analog in Tolono, Illinois near Champaign, Illinois with longtime soundman and comrade Jarrett Pritchard (1349, Gruesome), breaking a four-album tradition of working with Erik Rutan.

"Working with Rutan was awesome," says front-man Ben Falgoust. "We did some great records with him. But you come to a point where you're like, 'All right. Let's try something new.' It was part of trying to remove ourselves from a comfort zone and a risk thing we needed to take. Plus, we really wanted to hit the essence of where we are live and what better way to harness that than by having our live sound guy involved. Jarrett is knowledgeable with the studio stuff. He also knows how we sound coming out of a PA and we really wanted to get closer to that."

The resulting ten-track, forty-one-minute production marches in, clutches its listeners by the throat and refuses to loosen its grip until the abrupt conclusion of 'Those Who Denied God's Will'.  A sonic manifestation of war, chaos, desolation, and emotional conflict, seamlessly bridging twenty years of the band's signature brand of audio venom, it's a record that finds its members at their most accomplished both individually and as a cohesive unit. Guitarist Sammy Duet's dense, sub nuclear riff work and possessed solo blitzes are at their most devastating, spiraling flawlessly and instinctually around drummer Zack Simmons' and bassist James Harvey's hammering rhythms, while Falgoust's distinctly commanding roar, his acidic prose, more enunciated than ever before, complimenting the apocalyptic proceedings.

"There's that whole idea of Lucifer being the anti-hero," elaborates Falgoust. "He's cast out from this place in Heaven to the depths of nothing. He keeps trying to ascend to the top again but no matter what, there's always this significant force trying to destroy him at any point and banish him back to Hell. If you look at it from an everyday aspect in life, it's the idea of people, hitting the bottom of the barrel or you know, things just aren't going right in life… emotion plays a huge part in how people react. Whether it's based on love or hatred or sadness or whatever, there's always an aspect of emotion that drives people to an extent. So the whole idea of a 'Vengeful Ascension' is built on being at the bottom, working your way to the top, and realizing along the way that there are other facets to the journey aside from just pure retribution. Within negativity there can exist a positive angle as well."

Goatwhore is currently on tour supporting Amon Amarth for two weeks worth of shows. The journey commenced on May 1st in Pensacola, Florida, will run through May 20th in Louisville, Kentucky, and includes an appearance at Dark Lord Day. See all confirmed dates below.

Ice-T's Body Count have announced their very special guests to join them for their first Australian tour in 22 years. They'll be performing in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne with A.B. Origional and Void of Vision.

A.B. Original write songs in the spirit of N.W.A and West Side Connection, while lyrically bringing attention to issues closer to home. Respectively coming from the Yorta Yorta and Ngarrindjeri tribes, Briggs and Trials are socially conscious outspoken Indigenous artists.

Void of Vision broke into Melbourne's heavy music scene early 2013 and touring in 2014 saw them tour 3 national tours with Hand Of Mercy, Hellions, and Elegist. In 2016 they released their debut, Children Of Chrome which took them on their first overseas jaunt (supporting Chelsea Grin throughout Europe). Renowned for their erratic live show the band have won over the hearts of heavy music fans all over and have continued that explosive momentum into 2017.

Desecrator & Hidden Intent hit ACT and NSW this weekend for their last run of national shows in support of Desecrator's latest release "To The Gallows'! Along with them - Adelaide's fast rising heavy metal upstarts Hidden Intent. There's been major rumblings in the background for Hidden Intent, with preparations for a new album coming along swiftly. There’s a strong belief among the camp that these new tracks are easily the strongest material to date. The boys have also recently locked down their maiden European voyage coming up in May 2017 alongside US act Lich King.

True to the undeniable workhorse ethic of the band, they show no signs of wear and tear while forging themselves as a solid entity on the national touring circuit in recent years. The exciting 3-piece have been honing their throwback thrash craft since 2011, having proven themselves as tried and tested road dogs. Hidden Intent have toured Australia and New Zealand consistently while also trekking through Asia on no less than 4 occasions. Polish Black Metal legends Christ Agony join Fleshgod Apocalypse in Slovakia this weekend!

Christ Agony’s new album “Legacy” was released on November 18th, via Witching Hour Productions.

Christ Agony formed in 1990 – established since the beginning the leading edge of black metal scene and genre. The band’s debut full-length album “Unholyunion” was released in 1993, which became one of the most original and significant recordings in the world of black metal. November 18th 2016 marked the return of Cezar & Christ Agony in all their glory! The album, entitled “Legacy” (via Witching Hour Productions) contains seven hymns summoning the old days, the atmosphere of the band’s first three albums. With Daray (Dimmu Borgir) behind the drums “Legacy” delivers crushing and excellent piece of black metal. The album was recorded in Studio 666 in Morag under the watchful eye (and ear) of Michal Grabowski.

Known for his technical skill as a drummer, Portnoy has won 30 awards from the Modern Drummer magazine, and is the second youngest person to be inducted into the Modern Drummer's Hall of Fame! Primarily known as the co-founder of Dream Theater, he has also been involved in several other projects such as Liquid Tension Experiment, Avenged Sevenfold, Transatlantic, Adrenaline Mob plus many, many more!

Voyager's 6th album Ghost Mile is out next Friday May 12th and they begin their tour with France's The Algorithm the night before. What else is there to tell, except there is a new video for eponymous single Ghost Mile out now!

Punters can now pre-order the album right here - and tickets for the Australian tour can be purchased at

Voyager's sensationally anthemic 6th opus has an amalgamation of everything the band does best - huge soundscapes, pop and prog sensibilities with catchy and thought-inducing instrumentals. The album was mixed by Matthew Templeman (Saviour, Life Pilot) and mastered by Simon Struthers and maintains the production that was such a successful selling point for their album ‘V’.
