Sevendust - All I See Is War

'All I See Is War' is a catchy, anthemic and thoroughly enjoyable 12th studio release for Sevendust. A follow up to 2015’s 'Kill the Flaw', notches up yet another career highlight for the band.

Producer Michael Basket, Barbarossa Studios (Alter Bridge, Slash, Coldrain, Story Of The Year) has achieved true fan service. Capturing that classic Sevendust sound, yet explores new heights, showcasing why the band is a mainstay and continues to dominate 24 years into the game.

I personally haven’t caught a whole Sevendust album since 'Home' in 1999, but you can hear the maturity and progression the band has made. 'Dirty' their first single and opening track is a perfect example of this and demonstrates clearly why Lajon is renowned as one of the greatest clean singers in Hard Rock today.

Some other highlights for me included Track 8 and 12, but Track 7 'Risen' with the combination of structured triplets in the intro and that chorus has to be one of the catchiest things I’ve head from the band to date!!

Sevendust formed in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1996 and have forged one of hard rock’s most diehard audiences.

They kicked off their illustrious career with an untouchable string of three gold albums, beginning with their self-titled 1997 debut and continuing with 'Home' in 1999 and 'Animosity' in 2001.

2014’s acoustic offering 'Time Traveler’s & Bonfires' saw an overwhelming response from that community, being quickly funded through a highly successful PledgeMusic campaign. Just a year prior, 'Black Out The Sun' entered Billboard’s Top Hard Music Albums chart at #1 and landed at #18 on the Top 200.

2015’s 'Kill The Flaw', a record that brought the band their highest album sales chart position of their career and saw them nominated for 'Best Metal Performance' at the 2016 Grammy Awards.

The band have sold out shows across the globe and performed at some of the world's biggest rock festivals, as well as conquering the digital world, racking up over 1.1 million likes on Facebook and 8 million views on YouTube.
