One of the most talked about and highly anticipated albums has finally dropped, and what do we have to say about it? It was worth the wait.

The Black Dahlia Murder are proud to release their eighth studio album, Nightbringers (Metal Blade). Since Unhallowed was released back in 2003, the band has built an ever growing fan following, this album is one of their best yet and it will expand their fan base even more.

Window Maker starts of the album, we are off to a dramatic and ominous start, then straight into neck breaking brutality and a long scream that can only be described of as a banshee. You're locked in my sights,And it'd be my delight,To blow your head clean off the neck where it rests are the first lyrics of the album, this album really shows that all band members are on their A game, between the relentless drum beats with guitar speeding right along side and Strnad’s vocal technique demonstrate fierce and brutal storytelling matching that of the chaotic flow in the instrumentals.

Two pairs of headlights cut a night as black as coal,I chase predatorily my prize down these old darkened roads, panic stricken hapless mother fearful for her pregnancy in a grave miscalculation she wildly yanks the wheel into a tree starts off Matriarch. The lyrics take us on a journey of a woman stalking a pregnant lady until she is able to cut the baby from her as she desperately wants a child of her own. The lyrics as confronting as they are in some places are brilliant and take you on a thrilling and sinister journey throughout this album and are masterfully executed.

The Black Dahlia Murder have released what is possibly their best album of their career so far and even a top ten contender for 2017. The band have managed to do so using a tried and tested formula that they have rarely deviated from and have used throughout their entire career which made us nervous to see if this album was going to be the same old same old. Everything in this album works and brings an excitement and draws the listener in for the whole ride. Well worth listening to.
