Just over a year after the release of the massive Dic.Nii.Lan.Daft.Erd.Ark Danish hard rock/metal quintet D-A-D have re-released the album on a special Digipak Deluxe edition. Available for fans from all corners of the earth, this album is groove driven, with a simplistic, yet never repetitive attraction. These guys must have studied every Chris Cornell piece ever penned by the Washington icon: the influence is unmistakable, vocals that take other influence from Steven Tyler and Brian Johnson, D-A-D's name almost fits their form of rock, heavy, air guitar inspiring, drunken karaoke crying anthems. Steering well clear of the Glam rock origins, the album is a fantastic microcosm for the bands career, anything and everything can happen, the band is never afraid to venture too far out into untrodden waters, but never stuck in a rut. There's a sense of pop rock in its classic form, but it sure as hell works, such a mixture of influences and the bands own progression creates quite the concoction, and it seems that D-A-D have reached boiling point, when so many bands their age have simmered to a tepid bowl of shit.

So we've established what has been known for over a year now, but why bother with this re-release? Well the acoustic covers of their songs continue that classic cowpunk influence that has defined, and often proved the catalyst for their career, followed up by some live performances of songs old and new, this re-release acts as the perfect advert for anyone to go and see this band as many times as possible!

They may not be the most complex, or the most original, but these Danish manly-men continue to fly the flag for the dying sound of classic hard rock, Dic.Nii.Lan.Daft.Erd.Ark Digipack Deluxe is as good a biopic of classic hard rock as any other bonus packs you'll find.
